The Noah's Ark Advocacy App is now live
Noah’s Ark is excited to announce the launch of the Noah’s Ark App.
Thanks to the generous donations of two philanthropic trusts – Collier Charitable Fund and Goodridge Foundation – the Noah’s Ark Training department were able to begin work on an app for smartphones. The App is designed to support families who are new to having a child with a disability to have information at their fingertips, and potentially enhance their skills in advocacy.
Developing content for the App has been led by Leanne Regan, our lead parent presenter, with input from a range of parents and teachers.
Leanne interviewed parents, educators and a parent advocate to gain input into what the key messages of an Advocacy App could be.
We approached an RMIT University IT student regarding building the App. Tim Arnold was engaged to develop the App ready for launch. Leanne and Tim worked together every week for many months to hone and consider content and how to engage users.
The App is available to download for free on the iOS store, with an Android version coming soon.
