Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan launched

Noah’s Ark is proud to announce the launch of our ‘Reflect’ Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2016-2017.

Over the last 12 months a dedicated working group has been liaising with Reconciliation Australia to develop a ‘Reflect’ RAP. This is a practical plan of action to build relationships and respect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their communities.

We will:

  • Strengthen our commitment to building culturally respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
  • Work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and services.
  • Use the RAP as a way of increasing the knowledge and cultural competence of our staff.

Noah’s Ark is committed to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations and to providing respectful, responsive and culturally relevant services. We worked with Marc Williams and his Melbourne-based team at Deadly Design Art & Design who designed our RAP document and its bespoke cover page design.

Noah’s Ark branches in Victoria and the ACT celebrated our launch through a range of activities including morning teas, the unveiling of commissioned Aboriginal artworks, guest speakers and cultural walks.
